Marina always knew that teaching was her calling.  She connected with children in a very unique and positive way, and that is why she decided to become a teacher at a very young age. Marina immigrated to United States from St.Petersburg when she was 15 years old. Even though language was a barrier, Marina was determined to become a teacher. Upon completing her bachelors degree in Elementary Education, Marina began her teaching career as a high school math teacher in New York City. After having children of her own, she decided to go back to her elementary roots, where she taught kindergarten, second and sixth grade levels. When Marina completed her Masters Degree in Elementary Education focused in Mathematics, she relocated with her family to Florida. Marina then taught as a math instructor at Daytona State College, allowing her a well rounded experience of working with students of all levels. After becoming a Florida certified elementary and math teacher, Marina went on to become an elementary math coach for grades K-6, and later a district math curriculum specialist for grades K-8 at Flagler Schools.

Teaching and tutoring math has been Galina’s passion throughout her entire career. Galina has a strong background in mathematics and physics. Her knowledge of these subjects is not just in the abstract academic sense, but in their concrete applications to real-life problems, as demonstrated in her engineering work in Moscow at GSKB ALMAZ-ANTEY.
Galina holds a Master’s degree from Moscow State University of Electronics and Mathematics. She has over twelve years of experience in teaching and tutoring mathematics grades 6-12 in America and Moscow, Russia. 
Galina understands that often students have fears of mathematics due to lack of understanding of the basics, but she is very patient with her students and doesn’t rush through the concepts.
By applying various methods in teaching and tutoring from both Russia and America, she has great results with her students.
